Of all the 2024 GOP presidential primary candidates competing with frontrunner Donald Trump, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is by far the most aggressive in his attacks. Most of the criticism of Trump during the primary has been mild or tepid, but Christie has been downright scathing at times.

In a Daily Beast opinion column published Friday, Never Trump conservative Matt Lewis praises Christie for his anti-Trump comments. And he argues that Christie's "brash style" could help him win "contrarian" New Hampshire's GOP primary.

When Democratic strategists appear on MSNBC or CNN, they often lay out a long list of reasons for reelecting President Joe Biden in 2024. But veteran actor/director and liberal activist Rob Reiner didn't recite a list of Biden policies during his November 21 appearance on MSNBC's "The Beat." Instead, Reiner emphasized that the 2024 presidential election comes down to one thing: Preventing "fascist" GOP frontrunner Donald Trump from becoming a full-fledged dictator.

Reiner told host Ari Melber, "Every time we have a presidential election, they always say: This is the most important election of our life…. This one actually is…. You have one candidate, Trump, who actually tells you he's going to govern like an authoritarian. He says it. It's not a mystery. And you have another guy who has been there, knows how to run the government, believes in the Constitution, believes in democracy, the rule of law. And you've gotta make a choice."

Donald Trump's lawyers dismissed threats targeting New York Judge Arthur Engoron and his chief clerk, including many that propose violence or even death, as "audience reactions."

The former president's defense team responded to a motion filed Thanksgiving Day by special counsel Jack Smith's office that cited threats in the New York fraud trial as a reason why a gag order should be imposed in the election subversion case in the District of Columbia.

Donald Trump has hailed the ruling in a Colorado case as “a gigantic court victory," but a legal expert said the judge's opinion was a giant step toward disqualifying him from the state's ballot on constitutional grounds.

Colorado District judge Sarah B. Wallace determined that evidence showed Trump had engaged in insurrection, which only a trial court can do, but rejected his First Amendment defense by finding that his intentional incitement of the Jan. 6 rioters overruled any free-speech claim, wrote legal analyst Harry Litman in an op-ed published by the Denver Post.

President Joe Biden's low approval ratings would normally set off major alarm bells for an incumbent president heading into an election year.

However, The Atlantic's Ronald Brownstein reports those low approval numbers may not matter so long as Biden's rival is former President Donald Trump.

Polls have consistently shown that voters place more trust in former President Donald Trump when it comes to bringing down inflation, which has dropped significantly over the last year and now sits at 3.2 percent.

However, New York Magazine's Erick Levitz argues that this trust in Trump may be misplaced, as the former president's plans are far more likely to send inflation soaring again then bring it down further.

In the past, Rudy Giuliani's allies applauded him for being tough on crime — first as a federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York, then during his two terms as mayor of New York City. But these days, Giuliani is inundated with legal problems, in addition to being among the many co-defendants in Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis' case against 2024 GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.

Giuliani has so many legal bills that, according to reports, he hasn't been paying them on time. In September, Robert Costello, one of Giuliani's former lawyers, filed a lawsuit against him and alleged that he was owed $1.36 million in unpaid legal bills. Now, Giuliani is being sued by his accountants for the same reason.

A new book alleges former President Donald Trump ripped into Iowa evangelicals who wouldn't endorse him in a profane tirade, according to The Guardian.

"The new book, The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism, by Tim Alberta, an influential reporter and staff writer for the Atlantic, will be published on 5 December," reported Martin Pengelly. "Early in the book, Alberta describes fallout from an event at Liberty University, the evangelical college in Virginia, shortly before the Iowa vote in January 2016."
