Shaun Byrnes did two tours in Vietnam. He had hoped to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery when his time came. Now he's not so sure — and Donald Trump is the reason why.

Byrnes, 83, is one of several Vietnam veterans who have filed suit to stop construction of a 250-foot triumphal arch that Trump wants to build between Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial. The structure, which resembles Paris's Arc de Triomphe and has been dubbed the "Arc de Trump," would stand more than double the height of the Lincoln Memorial.

Donald Trump launched a sprawling early-morning attack on Republican critics of his Iran deal Sunday, singling out three GOP lawmakers by name and calling them losers, fools, and sleazebags in a 6am Truth Social post that underscored the growing tension between the president and members of his own party.

Trump took aim at Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina, who he declared would soon be "out of office." He went after Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, who last week lost his primary to a Trump-backed challenger. And he saved his sharpest words for Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, whom he called "a major sleazebag who lost in a landslide" after Massie was defeated in his own primary following a series of breaks with the president.

Breck Worsham, a prominent right-wing influencer and independent journalist who has since turned on President Donald Trump, warned Sunday night that the commander-in-chief had become a “direct threat” to the United States and called for his immediate removal.

“At this point Trump is no longer just a global novelty. He's no longer simply an embarrassment. He's a threat to the country he was elected to represent,” Worsham, who claims to be a three-time Trump voter who worked on two of his campaigns, wrote Sunday night in a social media post on X.

Republican Texas state Rep. Jeff Leach, who’s “proudly endorsed by President Donald Trump,” bucked the president Sunday night over his endorsement of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his race for U.S. Senate, and suggested that voters support Paxton’s GOP opponent instead.

Leach’s reasoning for breaking with the president, he explained in a social media post on X, was a plea deal that Paxton’s office had offered former attorney Adam Hoffman, who last month was sentenced to 60 days in jail for “sexually abusing a young boy” over a three-year period.

Outgoing Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who last week lost his re-election bid after serving seven terms, vowed on Sunday that during his remaining seven months in office, he would publicly identify individuals linked to Jeffrey Epstein whose names, critics have said, had been unlawfully redacted in Justice Department files.

“I’ve got seven more months to keep going against the grain,” Massie told NBC News’ Kristen Welker during an appearance on the network’s “Meet the Press.”

President Donald Trump demanded on Saturday that Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) not be allowed back on the Fox News, but on Sunday, not only was Khanna invited back on the right-wing network, but the California Democrat expressed hope that the president may be watching and extend him an invitation to the White House.

Trump’s demand to Fox News was made on his social media network Truth Social, in which he shared an image appearing to be created with generative artificial intelligence depicting Khanna with fangs and horns. Trump also labeled Khanna as a “sleazebag” and a “Dumocrat.”
