Newsmax host rages Dems only win because public schools ‘dumb down’ kids

Newsmax host Chris Salcedo took aim at public education Thursday in a rant about his preference for school choice, arguing that public schools and their “indoctrination and dumbing down” of students were “the only reason” why Democrats win any elections.

“(President Donald) Trump backed school choice in education freedom because he knows the only reason anti-American, violent and totalitarian Democrats continue to get elected is because of the indoctrination and dumbing down of our children in gov-ed,” Salcedo said Thursday, speaking on Newsmax’s "The Chris Salcedo Show."

'Irreparable harm': Judge blasts Trump admin in newly released opinion

President Donald Trump's administration was handed another loss Thursday in its bid to end birthright citizenship.

Judge Joseph Laplante of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire issued a preliminary injunction blocking the executive order Trump signed in February that attempted to end birthright citizenship altogether. The court also certified a protected class of people to whom the order applies. That class consists of newborns born on or after Feb. 20, 2025, to parents who are in the United States either illegally or temporarily.
