US deports 3 American children, including cancer patient: rights groups

Three American children aged two, four and seven -- one of whom has a rare form of cancer -- have been deported from the United States alongside their undocumented immigrant mothers, campaigners announced Saturday.

The deportations from the southern state of Louisiana come as President Donald Trump pursues a hard-line immigration policy, calling for mass expulsions of undocumented migrants.

Hamas is open to an agreement to end the war in Gaza that would see all hostages released and secure a five-year truce, an official said Saturday ahead of talks with mediators.

A Hamas delegation was in Cairo to discuss with Egyptian mediators ways out of the 18-month war, as on the ground rescuers said an Israeli strike on a family home in Gaza City killed at least 10 people and left more feared buried under the rubble.

Zelensky and Trump to hold second meeting after 'constructive' exchange

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump will hold a second meeting on Saturday on the sidelines of Pope Francis' funeral in Rome, after a first 15-minute exchange described as "constructive" by Kyiv.

"The leaders agreed to continue their discussions today. Teams are working on organising the continuation of the meeting," Ukrainian presidential spokesman Serhiy Nykyforov told reporters. The Ukrainian presidency released photos of the two men sitting face to face, and also in a four-way exchange with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Venezuela accuses El Salvador president of 'human trafficking'

Venezuela's attorney general accused Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele of "human trafficking" and suggested he face international justice for accepting cash to jail deportees from the United States.

Over 230 Venezuelans were flown in March to Bukele's notorious CECOT prison, along with around a dozen Salvadorans, under a $6 million deal struck by President Donald Trump's government.
