Andrea Mitchell mocks Palin by writing notes on her hand
After spending a weekend covering Sarah Palin, some of the former Alaska governor’s antics may be rubbing off on one MSNBC host. MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell proudly opened her palm Monday to display cheat notes written on her hand. Palin had used the same technique just days before.
“One of the most interesting things” over the weekend, Mitchell said, was that Palin had been caught with “cheat sheets” on her hand despite the fact she’d criticized Obama’s use of teleprompters.
“After coming out and saying that you need more [as a president] than a charismatic guy with a teleprompter — she takes all these snarky shots at Barack Obama and then, you know” appears with crib notes on her palm — which observers have dubbed the “palm-prompter.”
“If Mitt Romney had notes on his hand, wouldn’t we take it pretty seriously?” NBC’s Andrea Mitchell asked Chuck Todd and his co-host.
“She does, sort of, get played,” Todd retorted. “She has different rules.”
On Saturday, Palin was spotted at the National Tea Party Convention with talking points scrawled on her hand.
