The Washington Supreme Court has ruled that a man accused of child rape and child pornography can have unlimited access to child pornography in jail because he is acting as his own attorney.

Under the ruling, Marc Gilbert will be to watch video that he allegedly created while raping young boys as well as other materials.

KOMO reported that over 28 hours of child porn will be available to Gilbert.

"We don't like it," Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said. "We don't want to do it, but we have to follow the law. The fix here is to change the law."

The law also gives Gilbert the right to question his alleged victims.
