Former Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz is wasting no time in making public her thoughts about the company that fired her.

Less than 24 hours after chairman Roy Bostock let Bartz know that her services would no longer be needed, she was speaking out in an interview with Fortune.

"These people fucked me over," she said.

In a scheduled phone call Tuesday, Bostock fired her by reading remarks prepared by a lawyer.

"I said 'Roy - I think that's a script. Why haven't you got the balls to tell me yourself? I thought you were classier.'"

Bartz explained that the board had been impatient to show revenue growth "even though they were told that we would not have revenue growth until 2012."

"The board was so spooked by being cast as the worst board in the country," she recalled. "Now they're trying to show that they're not the doofuses that they are."

After being given two hours to decide if should would resign or be fired, Bartz used her iPad to email the Yahoo employees.

"I am very sad to tell you that I've just been fired over the phone by Yahoo's Chairman of the Board," she wrote.
