Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) isn't condemning the Republican presidential debate audiences that have consistently cheered death.

During the two most recent debates, audiences were delighted with Texas Gov. Rick Perry's record number of executions and the notion that an uninsured 30-year-old man in a coma would be left to die.

"Does the audience response in both cases trouble you as a Republican?" NBC's David Gregory asked McConnell.

"Look, we have a lot of people running for president," McConnell replied. "There are going to be a lot of debates, a lot of things said. A lot of audience reactions. I don't have any particular reaction to what's going on in Republican campaign for president right now."
