    WATCH LIVE: Senate committee debates repealing DOMA

    The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to vote on repealing the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) Thursday. All 10 democrats on the committee support repealing the same sex marriage ban. It is expected to pass committee, but Republicans are likely to filibuster if it comes up before the full Senate.

    Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith should look to former President Donald Trump's rally in Waco, Texas last weekend for evidence that the former president had intent to incite the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, argued former FBI official Frank Figliuzzi on MSNBC Monday.

    This comes as Trump faces sharp criticism for his choice of venue, which some security experts fear he did purposely to invoke the siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco by federal agents, a longtime battle cry of antigovernment militia groups.

    Nashville school shooter had map of school, left 'manifesto': police

    The shooter who killed three children and three adults at a school in Nashville left behind a map and manifesto relating to the attack, police chief John Drake said.

    Police searched the home of the suspect, who was killed by police at the school, and found evidence of a targeted attack, Drake told reporters.
