Jerry Sandusky attorney Joe Amendola didn't do his client any favors Tuesday when he quipped that reporters should call "1-800-REALITY" if they believed his client raped boys. Unfortunately, that number turned out to be a gay phone-sex service.

Soon after a hearing where Sandusky, a former assistant Penn State football coach who is charged with more than 50 sex-abuse counts, waived his right to a preliminary hearing, Amendola spoke to reporters outside Centre County Couthouse in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.

"If anyone is naive enough to think for a minute that [former Athletic Director] Tim Curley, [former head coach] Joe Paterno and [former vice president] Gary Schultz -- and for that matter Graham Spanier, the [former] university president -- were were told by [assistant football coach] Mike McQueary that he observed Jerry Sandusky having anal sex with a 10-year-old-looking kid in a shower room in Penn State or on Penn State property, and their response was simply to tell Jerry Sandusky that -- don't go in the shower room anymore with kids, I suggest you dial 1-800-REALITY," Amendola insisted.

So, the people over at Deadspin did just that and got a gay phone-sex line.

"Hey guys, welcome to the hottest place for triple-X action," an automated phone message announces. "Get ready for bulge bursting pleasure with horny, gay, bi and bi-curious studs! Just 99 cents per minute for voice personals and amateur talk. And only $2.99 per minute for live one-on-one talk with a hot guy who will do anything you want."

Sandusky has entered a not-guilty plea on all charges and requested a jury trial. He remains confined to house arrest on $250,000 bond.
