Callista Gingrich told Republicans on Friday that they should get behind her husband's presidential campaign because he was the type of person who supported her playing the "French horn."

During her introduction of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich at the the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Callista shared a few personal details about the candidate.

"Newt is an enthusiastic and committed golfer," she explained. "He gets in and out of more sand traps than anyone I have ever seen. Newt golfs the way that he does everything: with enthusiasm and determination. He's willing to learn and he never gives up."

"Newt loves books. We have books in every corner of our home. Newt also has an entire library on his Kindle. I may be the most grateful person in America for this invention."

"Newt is also very supportive," the candidate's third wife continued. "When I sing at the Basilica of the National Shrine or play my French horn with the City of Fairfax Band, he is right there listening."

Upon taking the stage, the former House Speaker admitted: "I'm a very bad golfer. She just wouldn't say it."
