Former Governor Robert Ehrlich (R-MD) appeared on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" on Tuesday to express his support for Governor Romney (R-MA) and his belief that the Republican front-runner will overcome his current unpopularity with women voters.

Morgan remarked that the ongoing social and cultural debate is hurting Republicans in the polls and asked Ehrlich how former Massachusetts Governor Romney intends to close the gender gap in polling between himself and the president.

Gov. Ehrlich blamed Democrats and the Santorum campaign for Romney's slippage with women voters, saying that his views have been distorted. He assured Morgan that when Romney has won the nomination and the general election begins, women will "see or be reminded of his real views" and support him over President Obama.

On Tuesday, Romney won the Republican primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington, DC.
