Michael Flynn, former president Donald Trump's one-time national security adviser, claims "global elites" are plotting to "impose" a new virus on the world, after their "little plan" of "COVID tyranny" failed.
Flynn, who's been linked to the QAnon conspiracy movement, appeared Wednesday on a talk show hosted by another conspiracy theorist, InfoWars' Alex Jones.
Jones asked Flynn, "General, how is the empire going to strike back? With all this election fraud coming out, the corrupt forces aren't going to lay on their back. They're going to try to stop us from having a real election in a year."
Flynn responded by saying he believes the "corrupt forces" Jones referenced will focus on maintaining and increasing their control. He proceeded to lay out three predictions, including firstly a "financial manipulation or collapse."
"No. 2, we're going to see an uptick in other aspects of the COVID," Flynn said. "We've got the various variants. There might even be another form of a SARS that's imposed on the international system. Their little plan with COVID didn't work because too many people — you know, the world of what I call the digital warriors, or the citizen journalists that are out there — they are fighting for the truth, and so the truth has been exposed about all the COVID tyranny that we are facing."
Flynn added that he expects to see "potentially another type of virus that's imposed on the public."
"I hope that that's not the case, but I've seen some indications of that in some of the statements by some of these global elite type of people," Flynn said.
Finally, Flynn said he expects to see a "targeted type of shutdown" using the federal emergency broadcast system.
"They can shut everything down, and now the government is going to tell you what you need to know," he said.

On Wednesday, WCBS 880 reported that a Newark, New Jersey police officer has been arrested after being accused of fatally hitting a nurse with his car — and then taking the body home to decide what to do before returning it to the scene of the crime.
The Essex County prosecutor announced Wednesday that 25-year-old Newark cop Louis Santiago was charged with reckless vehicular homicide, desecrating human remains, and other charges after he fatally hit 29-year-old nurse Damian Dymka and then stuffed his lifeless body into his car.
"Officials said Santiago didn't remain in his lane and traveled into the right shoulder, hitting Dymka," writes WCBS 880. "Neither Santiago, nor his passenger Albert Guzman, 25, of Newark, called 911, according to prosecutors, but they did return to the scene multiple times before loading the victim into the car and departing. Santiago allegedly took the body to his home, where Santiago, Guzman and Santiago's mother Annette Santiago, 53, discussed what they should do. Ultimately, officials said Santiago returned to the scene."
According to the report, Santiago was arrested after his father, a lieutenant in the same police department, called 911 to report the incident. State Police found Dymka's body still in the back of Santiago's car.
This comes amid a number of other cases of police misconduct being charged and litigated. In Hawaii this month, a police officer was sentenced to 30 months for trying to extort sex from a criminal defendant in exchange for exculpatory testimony.
Mike Lindell's new attempt to pressure Fox News to cover his election claims fails in spectacular fashion
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell tried to pressure Fox News into covering his bogus election fraud claims by organizing a protest outside of Fox News headquarters.
However, as The Daily Beast's Zachary Petrizzo reports, Lindell's protest failed spectacularly, as a "little more than a dozen" people even bothered to show up.
What's more Pertrizzo writes, the poorly attended protest was just the latest in a string of embarrassing setbacks this week for Lindell's efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
"While Lindell promised supporters for weeks that he would file the suit this Tuesday, the deadline quickly came and went, with the multimillionaire publicly releasing a draft complaint with a placeholder '[Insert state here]' listed as plaintiff," he writes. "In an early Wednesday morning text exchange, however, Lindell claimed the plaintiffs would be announced at the protest. He then gave The Daily Beast the names of four states, on the condition they not be named until the announcement: All of them, however, were Democratic states, two of which were already listed as defendants in his draft."
Lindell for weeks had hyped up a complaint that he planned to file with the Supreme Court that he predicted would force the court to unanimously reinstall Trump as president, despite the fact that Trump lost the 2020 election by more than 7 million votes.
Despite all this, Lindell is still planning to conduct a 96-hour marathon broadcast over the Thanksgiving holiday to make his case for overturning the election.
