A famed Hindu stuntman stunned a crowd of more than 1,000 people on Sunday as he died while attempting to zipline over India's Teesta river, getting stuck and apparently suffering a heart attack mid-way through his attempt.

48-year-old Sailendra Nath Roy was known for performing feats of strength with his hair, and held a Guinness World Record for ziplining from his hair. He was perhaps best known on the Internet for a video of him using his ponytail to pull a 40-ton train.

During his stunt Sunday, Roy made it about half-way across the river before his hair became stuck on the zipline. Video of the failed attempt shows him struggling to move along the line, inching across with his hands before losing all momentum.

The footage does not show his apparent heart attack, but bystanders said he just stopped moving and was pulled down after about 45 minutes, then later declared dead.
