Fox News host Geraldo Rivera tweeted, then deleted, a nearly-naked self photo on Sunday morning in an online faux pas amazingly similar to the scandal that engulfed former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY).

Thankfully, the photo did not feature the 70-year-old anchor's, erm, parts.

“70 is the new 50 (Erica and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age…)” the host of "Geraldo At Large" wrote in his early morning tweet, attaching a shirtless, self-shot photo of him wearing his signature red glasses and a towel that's a bit too low for comfort.

After the photo began making its rounds on social media, the tweet vanished. "Note to self: no tweeting after 1am," Geraldo wrote on Sunday afternoon.

"Yeah cuz we all tweet naked pictures at 1:00 AM, it's the law," Twitter user margafret replied.

Geraldo said in June that he's ruled out a potential New Jersey run for the U.S. Senate.

"The ladies of my life argued strenuously against a campaign odyssey that would exhaust our finances and expose us to the ravages of unlimited Super PAC money and tabloid scrutiny," he wrote for Fox News Latino. "For their sakes and mine, I have decided reluctantly not to run."
