Charmaine Yoest, the president & CEO of Americans United for Life, argues that those who don't think a fetus is a person are "anti-science."
At a panel hosted by the Southern Baptist Convention this week, Youst noted that Nancy Keenan of NARAL Pro-Choice America recently resigned as president of the organization to make way for a younger leader who could better connect with the current generation.
"Fortunately for us, I think that is going to be a vain endeavor for them," she continued. "Part of the reason... I think a large part of it is because this is the post-sonogram generation."
"You know, they like to put on that we are all unintellectual and uneducated regardless of where we have gone to college," Youst remarked. "But the truth of the matter is they are the ones who are anti-science.
"This question of when live begins is not up for debate. It is pretty settled. There is no argument among anyone as to when life begins and so they are the ones who are anti-science."
Youst concluded her remarks by saying that the current generation viewed abortion as a "human rights issue" because they had "seen the hypocrisy" thanks to sonogram images.
