Video of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's appearance at a local church surfaced online on Sunday, in an appearance that called to mind former New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner's appearance at this year's West Indian Day Parade.

The New York Daily News reported on Monday that Ford visited the West Toronto Church of God, and can be seen in footage from the service dancing alongside the church choir in varying degrees of awkwardness. One churchgoer reportedly posted, "Man smells like ganja," alongside a picture of himself with Ford online.

Ford has been the subject of derision and ridicule since reports of his being videotaped crack cocaine earlier this year. He finally admitted to smoking the drug during a "drunken stupor" on Nov. 5, prompting the local city council to strip him of his powers and lock him out of City Hall.

The Toronto Sun reported on Monday that reporter Daniel Dale, who covered the ongoing scandal surrounding Ford for the Toronto Star, confirmed his intentions of suing Ford for libel after Ford allegedly suggested to broadcaster Conrad Black that Dale was a pedophile.
