Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) went back to her home district for the Thanksgiving holiday, and while there she spoke to constituents where she made fun of her Democratic colleagues. However, it turns out that her story was all a lie.
According to Boebert, she was in a capitol elevator with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) when a Capitol police officer ran up.
"Well, she doesn't have a backpack. We should be fine," Boebert claimed she said, illuding to Omar being a terrorist because she's Muslim. She went on to call Omar a member of the "jihad squad."
But Omar is speaking out. After seeing the tweet, she tweeted that the incident never happened. In fact, Omar said that Boebert seems too scared to even look her even the eye.
"Fact, this buffoon looks down when she sees me at the Capitol, this whole story is made up," Omar tweeted Thursday evening. "Sad she thinks bigotry gets her clout. Anti-Muslim bigotry isn't funny & shouldn't be normalized. Congress can't be a place where hateful and dangerous Muslims tropes get no condemnation."

Mark Richards, Kyle Rittenhouse's lawyer made it clear that he's not a fan of President Donald Trump's son.
In an Insider interview, Richards Richards responded to Donald Trump Jr.'s tweet that the pro-gun group Gun Owners of America would give his client an "award" of an AR-15.
"Gun Owners of America is sending Kyle Rittenhouse an AR-15. Sign the card in support of Kyle. Americans have a fundamental right to defend themselves and to keep and bear arms. The verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial is a recognition of those rights," Trump Jr. tweeted before deleting it.
"He's an idiot. I don't have to expand on that because it speaks for itself," Richards said to Insider.
He went on to complain that many Republican elected officials are making money off of his client in their fundraising appeals.
Amazon could give a $690k bonus to 1.3 million workers and still have 2020-level profits: Black Friday strikers
At a time when the global economy desperately needs a robust "Black Friday," Amazon workers in 20 countries are going on strike to protest better working conditions and union-busting.
According to Oxfam, Amazon Workers International and over 70 other global organizations, the workers in the countries will participate in a day of "Make Amazon Pay."
HBO's John Oliver ended his season with a special report on union-busting that described how multi-national corporations are using unique tactics to stop workers from combining their power to stand up to the companies.
"The pandemic has exposed how Amazon places profits ahead of workers, society, and our planet," Make Amazon Pay wrote on its website. "Amazon takes too much and gives back too little. It is time to Make Amazon Pay."
Amazon has already been fined in California for failing to notify employees about the COVID infections among their colleagues. They're the first company to be forced to pay the $500,000 fine after the law was passed.
"Amazon is not alone in these bad practices but it sits at the heart of a failed system that drives the inequality, climate breakdown, and democratic decay that scar our age," Make Amazon Pay said."
"During the COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon became a trillion-dollar corporation, with Bezos becoming the first person in history to amass $200 billion in personal wealth," the site continues. "Meanwhile, Amazon warehouse workers risked their lives as essential workers, and only briefly received an increase in pay."
The site also explained that during the pandemic the wealth increased so much that they could give all 1.3 million workers a bonus for $690,000 and still have as much profit as they did in 2020.
