An image of Josh and Anna Duggar’s 4-year-old son, Michael, was posted on the Duggar Family Official Facebook page last week and it’s left fans of the TLC show "19 Kids And Counting" fearful for the little guy's safety.
Jinger Duggar, 22, took the below photo of her nephew Michael sleeping in the back seat of the car, according to Fox23. It may seem like a sweet adorable little boy conked out after a day of shopping, but fans quickly noticed he wasn't restrained in a car seat.
"My first thought as a pediatric ICU nurse was ‘that kid is not properly restrained,'" one fearful fan wrote in response to the photo. "I am not passing judgment. I have just seen a lot of really bad things. And I don’t want anything to happen to anybody else’s child. He should be in a 5-point harness to protect his spine and his brain and his internal organs. Please take this as advice and not judgment. I love this family and just don’t want anything bad to happen to these precious kids."
The negligence may have also been illegal. Law in Arkansas, where the Duggers live, says that no child younger than six and weighing less than 60 pounds can ride without a car seat.
Thus far no citation has been issued to Jinger Duggar.
