Following the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee hearing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions where Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) was once again interrupted by a Republican senator, the former prosecutor took to Twitter to demand answers.
It was a simple question. Can Sessions point to the policy, in writing, that allows him to not answer a whole host of our questions today.— Kamala Harris (@Kamala Harris)1497387376.0
It's unacceptable that Sessions - the top law enforcement official in the country - cannot name his legal basis for evading questions.— Kamala Harris (@Kamala Harris)1497388693.0
“I don’t know.” “I don’t recall.” “I don’t remember.” Did you refresh your memory with any written documents? #SessionsHearing— Kamala Harris (@Kamala Harris)1497386759.0
Before being elected senator, Harris established a reputation as a fierce prosecutor while leading the Career Criminal Unit in the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, an office she later ran for two terms after beating the incumbent D.A.
Harris also served as Attorney General of California.
