Internet roasts Ann Coulter for her bitter tirade against 'happy families' -- and her own 'empty' life

Ann Coulter on Friday lashed out against Sen. Marco Rubio's (R-FL) plan to boost the child tax credit as part of the GOP's revised tax bill.

Coulter justified her attack on the tax credit provision on the ground that her own life was completely miserable and devoid of meaning, while people who have children already have joy in their lives.

"We singles live empty lives of quiet desperation and will die alone," Coulter wrote bitterly. "Now Rubio is demanding that we also fund happy families with children who fill their days with joy."

Coulter, who has made a career out of lobbing nasty insults at other people, did not earn much sympathy from others, especially since she seemed to begrudge other people their happiness.

In fact, the general reaction to Coulter's tweet was one of ridicule -- check out the top responses below.
