'Sort your thinking out': U2's Bono gets torched online for saying rock has gotten 'girly'

U2's frontman Bono stepped in it bigly when he told Rolling Stone magazine that in his opinion, rock and roll has gotten too "girly" and "hip-hop is the only place for young male anger at the moment -- and that's not good."


The 56-year-old singer -- born Paul Hewson -- was recently revealed to be one of the many millionaires parking their money in shady offshore firms in order to avoid paying taxes. The news rankled given the singer's image as a humanitarian and campaigner against global poverty.

Twitter users were not amused, to say the least.
