‘Simply outrageous’: Retired four-star general blasts Kushner as a ‘huge threat to rational foreign policy’

Published

on

Retired four-star Army General Barry McCaffrey slammed White House senior advisor Jared Kushner after breaking news that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bragged about having Kushner “in his pocket” during a Wednesday appearance on All In with Chris Hayes.

“What’s your reaction?” Hayes asked.

“Putting Jared Kushner — a 30-something person with no foreign policy experience or defense policy experience — as a leading representative of the United States is simply outrageous,” McCaffrey charged. “So reading out the State Department and having one-on-one contact with Jared Kushner, by phone and in person, is a huge threat to a rational policy making process.”

“It has no precedent, in my view, in American government,” he added.

“If were the president’s lawyer, I would say, if you think they have video on you, he’d better get it out now,” McCaffrey continued. “Putin will stick it to him prior to the next election or after he leaves office.”

"Trump has told false 'sir' stories on all manner of subjects: health care, the Middle East, the courts, unions and -- just last week -- both tariffs and social media," Dale wrote. "But no genre of Trump story is more reliably sir-heavy than his collection of suspiciously similar tales about macho men breaking into tears of gratitude in his presence."

GOP looks like it’s in a ‘state of panic’ after labeling combat veteran a ‘socialist loser’ for running as a Democrat: columnist

Published

Republicans in Cincinnati, Ohio, may have overstepped the boundaries of poor taste, calling a former Air Force pilot a "socialist loser."

As columnist Jason Williams writes in the Cincinnati Enquirer, the GOP majorly flubbed their campaign against the Democrat.

"Yeesh, not a good look for the Trump Party," Williams writes. "Democrat Nikki Foster is neither a socialist nor a loser, from what little we know about the Mason moderate after she launched her campaign in Ohio's 1st Congressional District on Monday."

Nebraska woman attacks local Spider-Man statue as a ‘hate crime’ against Christianity after mistaking it for Satan

A resident of Lincoln, Nebraska this week publicly slammed her city for committing a purported "hate crime" against Christianity because she mistook a statue of Spider-Man located at a local zoo for a statue of Satan.

The Lincoln Journal-Star reports that an offended Christian woman wrote an email to Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird demanding that he remove a statue depicting Spider-Man's hands spinning a web, as she believed the statue depicted devil horns.
