An cemetery in suburban Glen Carbon, Illinois has been defaced by Nazis who painted swastikas on at an estimated 200 headstones, video uploaded by a photographer from the St. Louis Post Dispatch on Twitter showed today.

The video from Laurie Skrivan showed rows and rows of headstones painted with black swastikas.

In other videos, workers bring power washers to try to clean the tomb stones.

Memorial Day events are planned for Monday at the cemetery, where more than 1,000 veterans are buried—many of whom had fought the Nazis.
