A "white nationalist" conference in Tennessee is hosting former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke the weekend of June 16 — and it will be held on public land.

The Tennessean reported Monday that the joint conference being hosted by the anti-immigrant hate group American Freedom Party and the segregationist Council of Conservative Citizens is to be held at the Montgomery Bell Inn conference center at the Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, Tennessee.

The conference center was also the site for an annual conference put on by American Renaissance, a white nationalist blog that the Tennessean noted is affiliated with the New Century Foundation, an organization designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group.

During the American Renaissance conference in April, HuffPost and other outlets reported that police guarded the white nationalist attendees from anti-racist protesters outside.
