Former White House liaison Omarosa Manigault-Newman appeared on Sunday's "Meet the Press" revealing a recording of her termination conversation with chief-of-staff John Kelly.

The White House Situation Room is generally reserved for staff with certain clearance levels and cell phones are strictly prohibited for security reasons. Still, Newman is said to have brought hers and secretly recording the incident.

Now White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is striking back. In a statement released Sunday, Sanders said Newman has no regard for national security.

“The very idea a staff member would sneak a recording device into the White House Situation Room, shows a blatant disregard for our national security – and then to brag about it on national television further proves the lack of character and integrity of this disgruntled former White House employee," she said.
