Fox host explodes on liberal colleague over Kavanaugh accusations -- and rants about Ted Kennedy instead

Fox News hosts Kennedy and Jessica Tarlov on Monday got into a heated argument about the sexual assault allegations leveled at Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

During a discussion about Christine Ford's allegations that Kavanaugh tried to rape her when both of them were teenagers, Tarlov said that it would be wrong to dismiss the accusations simply because so many other people have vouched for Kavanaugh's character.

"That doesn't mean there isn't legitimate concern about what he did then, or how he would rule in judicial opinions, which is really what this is all about," she said. "To your point about what we can be held accountable for when we are teenagers, this gets back to the conversation we had post-'Access Hollywood' tape, about what's 'locker room talk' or what's 'boys being boys.'"

At this point, Kennedy interrupted and shouted something about "Teddy Kennedy's car," referring to the infamous incident in which the late Massachusetts senator crashed his car into the water on Chappaquiddick and left the woman who was his passenger to drown even as he escaped.

"He was a liberal hero for decades!" she fumed. "The question is, are you offended because this guy's on the other side?"

"No, I'm offended because he might have put his hand over a young girl's mouth to not hear her screams!" Tarlov shot back.
