The Twitter account of the Milwaukee County Republican Party this week posted a meme that mocked both Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and victims of sexual harassment.
In a since-deleted tweet, the party posted a photo of Ginsburg along with the caption, "Abraham Lincoln grabbed my ass in 1862."
The meme posted by the Milwaukee County GOP echoes the "joke" made last week by Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), in which he said that Ginsburg had accused Lincoln of sexual harassment.
“Did y’all hear this latest late-breaking news on the Kavanaugh hearings?” he said during a debate with Democratic rival Archie Parnell. “Ruth Bader Ginsburg came out saying she was groped by Abraham Lincoln.”
Norman's attempt to make light of sexual harassment was met with swift condemnation -- and the Milwaukee County GOP's tweet has met the same fate, receiving 427 replies to just 14 likes at the time of its deletion.
