Dylan McNey has had a rough year.
The 22-year-old California man was at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip when a gunman opened fire, killing 59 people.
And then he was at the Borderline Bar in Thousand Oaks, Calif. when a gunman opened fire, killing 12.
His family is currently evacuating their home from the wildfire tearing across Southern California.
On Saturday, CNN's Ana Cabrera interviewed McNey about his awful experiences, which he described in detail.
"Country music concert, college night at a bar—will you feel comfortable attending events like this in the future," Cabrera asked.
"I will always have faith because I have God on my side and I have family and friends on my side," he said.
Just a few days after the shooting, McNey saw the flames of the wildfire currently raging in the Los Angeles area and his family evacuated their home while he stayed to keep an eye on it.
