Guest embarrassingly corrects Fox's Ainsley Earhardt after she says Beto O'Rourke could ban plastic straws in Texas

A guest on Fox News Friday shot down an ill-informed theory from host Ainsley Earhardt about Beto O'Rourke being able to ban plastic straws in Texas if he's elected to be a U.S. Senator.

While speaking with conservative guest Chuck DeVore about regulations that are supposedly crippling the state of California, Earhardt wondered if a similar fate could befall Texas were Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to lose his seat to the upstart O'Rourke on Tuesday.

"If he wins, are you going to see you can't drink plastic straws in Texas, you're going to have to have solar panels on your roof, you're going to have sanctuary cities?" she asked.

"Well, I don't think so," DeVore said. "We still have federalism in Texas, it's still in charge of its local rules and laws."

"See, the South is so much fun, isn't it!" a smiling Earhardt replied. "Everyone's so nice and that's why everyone moves down there!"
