'He's insane': Critics bowled over by Trump's latest 'stupid conspiracy theory'

All it took on a sleepy Sunday afternoon was an X post by Donald Trump critic George Conway, who posted a rant about Vice President Kamala Harris' rally crowds being "fake," to spur more concerns about the ex-president's mental health.

On Truth Social Trump wrote, "Has anyone noticed that Kamala CHEATED at the airport? There was nobody at the plane, and she 'A.I.’d”'it, and showed a massive 'crowd' of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST! She was turned in by a maintenance worker at the airport when he noticed the fake crowd picture, but there was nobody there, later confirmed by the reflection of the mirror like finish on the Vice Presidential Plane. She’s a CHEATER. She had NOBODY waiting, and the 'crowd' looked like 10,000 people!" before adding, "Same thing is happening with her fake 'crowds' at her speeches. This is the way the Democrats win Elections, by CHEATING - And they’re even worse at the Ballot Box. She should be disqualified because the creation of a fake image is ELECTION INTERFERENCE. Anyone who does that will cheat at ANYTHING!"

'Team Trump is flatlining — and they know it': former GOP official

After showing alternating clips of Donald Trump's rambling press conference and recent rally appearance and comparing them to clips of Vice President Kamala Harris exhorting energized crowds of Democratic voters, MSNBC host Michael Steele described the former president's campaign as being, in a best-case scenario, on life support.

Sunday afternoon, as he filled in for regular host Jen Psaki, the former chair of the Republican National Committee smirked his way through describing the current state of the 2024 presidential campaign.

"Folks, the spotlight and all the joy surrounding her is clearly driving Donald Trump just a bit crazy and he is getting desperate," he began. "Holding an hour-long rambling press conference at Mar-a-Lago and re-agreeing to debate Harris after backing out and trying to set the terms of the debate himself."

"He is getting defensive, resorting to his playbook of insults and name-calling, and rage-posting on Truth Social about crowd sizes," he continued before adding, "Here's the bottom line on all this: Team Harris is on the rise, Team Trump is flailing — I would say even flatlining."

"They know it and you and I know it," he added. "So they are getting real desperate, real defensive and real divisive but nothing they say, none of it is sticking. None of it is working and those crowds for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz? Well, they just keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger."

Trump rages 'election interference' with claim Kamala Harris rally crowds are fake

On Sunday afternoon, rally crowd-obsessed Donald Trump took a shot at Vice President Kamala Harris by claiming the photos of the crowd that showed up for an airport rally was created by “A.I.’d.”

According to the former president who has watched the vice president passing him in the polls and in rally crowd counts, a "maintenance worker at the airport" turned her in.

Despite video from the rally showing a packed crowd at Detroit Metro Airport, the former president presented what he believed is evidence that the public is being been duped.

On Truth Social he wrote that, if true, it constitutes "election interference."

"Has anyone noticed that Kamala CHEATED at the airport? There was nobody at the plane, and she 'A.I.’d”'it, and showed a massive 'crowd' of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST! She was turned in by a maintenance worker at the airport when he noticed the fake crowd picture, but there was nobody there, later confirmed by the reflection of the mirror like finish on the Vice Presidential Plane. She should be disqualified because the creation of a fake image is ELECTION INTERFERENCE. Anyone who does that will cheat at ANYTHING!" he continued.

He later added, "EVERYTHING ABOUT KAMALA IS FAKE!"

'Money where your mouth is': Pete Buttigieg pounces on J.D. Vance over his family attacks

Following an extensive CNN interview with GOP vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, speaking in a personal capacity, took the Ohio Republican to task for a multitude of comments he made to "State of the Union" host Dana Bash before getting personal about Vance's beliefs about his family.

Addressing Vance's remarks that Democrats are anti-family, the Indiana Democrat called out the Ohio senator for not "putting his money where his mouth is."

Using Vance's criticism of "childless cat ladies," which has cast a cloud of his selection as a running mate by Donald Trump, as a jumping-off point, Buttigieg told the CNN host, "Let's be clear, we're the ones trying to get the Child Tax Credit expanded and J.D. Vance couldn't be bothered to show up in the Senate and vote for it and Republicans have blocked that from being expanded or it'd be the law of the land right now."

"So if you want to talk about promoting children, promoting family, put your money where your mouth is," he continued.

Addressing Bash's interview with Vance moments before, he elaborated, "Look, when you asked him and pressed him on whether my family was legitimate, he said yes because I think he felt shamed into it. But let's remember also, the last time I checked, he doesn't even think I should legally be able to have a family."

"Now, if he really got his way in his anti-marriage equality views, I don't know if that means that he would want me and my husband to be forcibly divorced and separated from our children or if he'd be satisfied just to have us lose legal protections like the ability to do our taxes together, visit them in a hospital," he added. "I don't know exactly what his vision of us not having a family looks like, but I know that it's not pro-family for me."
