Colorado judge did Democrats a favor by ruling for Trump in insurrection case: ex-adviser

Friday's loss handed down by a Colorado judge denying a try by voters to scratch Trump from the ballot is a "boon" for the Dems.

"By failing here, I think that Democrats did themselves a favor by not playing right into the president's hands," former Trump campaign senior adviser David Urban said during an appearance on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360". "[Trump's supporters] would have been shouting from the rooftops."

'The horse is dead': Rick Wilson mocks Ron DeSantis for campaigning on outdated issues

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was ruthlessly mocked on Friday by former Republican strategist turned Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson, for latching onto culture war issues that voters moved on from years ago.

"I am going to bring a reckoning to these agencies for what they did to this country during COVID," wrote DeSantis on X. "Why? Because if we don’t hold them accountable, they are going to try to do it again — and we can never let this happen in our country again."

Trump camp attacks Fani Willis' proposed trial date as election interference

Following Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' proposal of an August 5, 2024 trial date for former President Donald Trump's election racketeering case in Georgia, the Trump camp is coming out swinging against it.

Willis says she proposed the date as a way to avoid conflicts with other pending criminal cases against the former president, like the federal 2020 election case and the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case, which will take up a long time in the beginning of the year and in fact may be delayed even more. But Trump and his associates are claiming it's meant to disrupt the presidential election.

Trump tripped by 88 pages of contributions that ‘exceed federal limits’

The Federal Election Commission sent Donald Trump’s presidential campaign committee an 88-page list of contributions that it says appear to exceed federal limits.

The FEC letter to Donald J. Trump For President 2024, Inc., flags contributions from 72 individuals. As in the past with Trump, several people gave relatively small amounts so often — sometimes multiple donations on the same day — that they appear addicted to giving the former president their money.
