Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY) clashed over a Republican failure to investigate fraud in the Trump administration.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday, Lee argued that "nobody here believes that rooting out fraud and waste and abuse is not a top priority of this committee."

Dr. Mehmet Oz, President Donald Trump's administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), pushed for American seniors to "work one year longer" because he claimed it would benefit the economy.

During a Wednesday White House briefing, Oz blamed low gross domestic product (GDP) growth for rising health care expenditures.

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) used a Republican hearing on alleged daycare fraud in Minnesota to express his outrage at what he said was the illegal renaming of the Kennedy Center.

"I just want to say from this committee, this investigative committee, if we're really looking for fraud, if we're truly looking for fraud," Lynch told the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, "we don't need to go far.
