Attorney Lisa Bloom, who is representing a Donald Trump rape accuser, alleges that her law firm's website was hacked on Wednesday and that Anonymous claimed responsibility on Twitter, the Wrap reports.
Earlier in the day, Bloom shared on Twitter that her firm's website had crashed, though the account that claimed to be associated with Anonymous didn't claim responsibility for the attack until later.
However, the group that hacked Bloom's website appears to have no connection to Anonymous.
Bloom was scheduled to hold a press conference for her client, who has up until now only been referred to as "Jane Doe," on Wednesday afternoon at her Woodland Hills, California law firm.
However, Bloom cancelled the conference on Wednesday afternoon, stating that her client was living in fear after receiving death threats. She said, "Jane Doe has received numerous threats today, as have all the Trump accusers that I have represented."
On Wednesday night, Bloom shared on Twitter, "Our firm's website was reportedly hacked today, as well as emails. Anonymous claims responsibility," along with the original tweet from the seemingly Anonymous-affiliated account. Their tweet read, "No LiveStream for you Lisa Bloom HA HA HA HA HA."
After Bloom tweeted the news, the usual Anonymous Twitter account (@YourAnonNews) shared a tweet of its own, distancing itself from the other user's message.
It read, "If people had half a brain they would look at @0HOUR1___'s tweets before September. They were NOT an Anonymous account. They can't even lift."
