'Borderline retardate': NYPD cops post heartless racist jokes about black city councilman with Tourette's

The New York City Police Department has a new racially charged controversy brewing -- and once again, it's for officers .

According to the New York Daily News, members of the NYPD police force have landed themselves in hot water once again for making racist comments -- this time, for making fun of popular Caribbean festivals and a NYC city councilman who has Tourette's on a messageboard frequented by NYPD.

“He's a borderline retardate, and comes from a race of borderline retardates!” one user of the Thee Rant messageboard whose username is "Boom" wrote of Councilman Jumaane Williams, who has Tourette's Syndrome.

“The Councilman was on Tucker (Carlson) last night ... He was twitching like there was some kind of condition,” user “TrueBlue” wrote. “It was a bit much, judge for oneself.”

Williams, who represents a largely Caribbean area of Brooklyn on New York's city council, wasn't the only target of their racist ire. They also took aim at the West Indian Day and J'Ouvert parades, which saw some violence during last year's festivities.

“The Press has discovered that there is violence at this parade now that white people have moved into the area,” user "Lexisman" wrote, referencing the gentrification of many formerly Caribbean parts of Brooklyn. “They will call us racist for our insensitive remarks, but they are the racists for refusing to take action to save the lives of the blacks that are slaughtered each and every year on [Brooklyn's] Eastern Parkway.”

They also took turns making joking bets on supposed violence that may occur at the festivals slated for early September.

“Alex, I'll take 2 murders by gunshot, 4 non lethal shootings and 2 stabbings, not likely,” Lexisman wrote, referring to Jeopardy host Alex Trebek. “And a good time will be had all.”
