CNN associate producer caught on camera saying Kellyanne Conway 'looks like she got hit with a shovel'

Right-wing provocateur James O'Keefe's latest video "sting" involves a CNN associate producer caught on hidden camera calling senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway an "awful woman" who "looks like she got hit with a shovel."

The associate producer -- identified by Tucker Carlson's website TheDailyCaller.com as Jimmy Carr of CNN's "New Day" -- was filmed on hidden camera by an operative from O'Keefe's "Project Veritas," which has launched a number of high-profile controversies over the years using doctored and selectively edited videos of people filmed without their knowledge or consent.

Project Veritas -- like many right-wing multilevel marketing schemes -- utilizes an extensive mailing list of donors to finance its "investigations."

In the past, O'Keefe claimed to have dressed as a pimp looking for a house for an underage prostitution ring in order to bring about the collapse of the federal housing agency ACORN, although it was revealed after the fact that he never wore the costume to ACORN's offices and that the video he obtained there was deceptively edited.

O'Keefe was ordered by the courts to pay $100,000 to an ACORN employee who was fired as a result of the fraudulent "investigation," but the agency was stripped of its funding by the GOP-led Congress and has never recovered.

Project Veritas operatives were arrested and charged with entering the offices of Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) dressed as phone repair technicians in an unsuccessful attempt to plant recording devices.

This week, O'Keefe has trained his sights on CNN, launching broadsides against commentator Van Jones -- who called the stunt "ludicrous" -- and a producer of non-political medical segments who said that he doesn't think there's anything to the federal investigation into President Donald Trump's ties to Russia.
