Dolly Parton’s sister unleashed a blistering stream of attacks against President Donald Trump in the days leading up to the country music legend’s death - including a now-deleted attack shortly before the news broke.
“As a natural born citizen of the United States of America, I do not support nor do I agree with Trump or his deranged, ugly, nasty behavior,” Stella Parton wrote in a post on Tuesday, according to a screenshot retained by Raw Story before it disappeared.
“Many of us are disgusted and feel threatened by his actions and his cabinet, Republican sycophants and the majority of the SCOTUS.” The post racked up more than 600 replies and 500 reposts before it was deleted for unknown reasons.
Days earlier, Stella, a singer, songwriter and actress, described Trump as a “pimple” and Congress as “pus."
”We have a pimple in the White House and the pus in Congress do nothing beneficial for the citizens of this country!” she wrote Aug. 20. “Strutting around with his female assistant carrying his diaper bag and soothing his every desire is gross and pathetic!”
“He is an illegitimate President!” she added.
On Sunday, she lobbed yet another jab at Trump and also lashed out at Vice President J.D. Vance and other MAGA allies of the administration.
“Trump is not sundowning in the middle of the night,” she wrote. “If so, what do we do about the liars enabling him like JD Vance?”
The sister of the 80-year-old music icon who died Tuesday also responded “evil” beneath a photograph of Trump and compared him to being “as bad as Netanyahu and Hitler if he isn’t stopped.”
“Get out and vote people!” she added in that Aug. 22 reply post.
Trump, for his part, mourned Dolly Parton in a Truth Social post moments after her death was announced, and ordered American flags lowered nationwide for one week in Dolly Parton's honor.
