Duggars returning to TLC with Jessa and Jill slated for up to three reality TV specials

TLC is spinning off the Duggar daughters, after all.

The Discovery-owned cable channel has ordered several new specials focusing on Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard -- who admitted during a Fox News interview that their older brother, Josh Duggar, had molested them as children.

Production will begin soon on at least one of the specials, which is expected to air by the end of the TV season, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

TLC canceled the evangelical Christian family's popular reality show, "19 Kids and Counting," after the molestation allegations were confirmed.

The new programs will show the 24-year-old Dillard and her husband, Derick, as they moved to El Salvador to conduct missionary work -- although some fans are suspicious that the couple has used donations to fund their travel instead of their charity efforts.

The 22-year-old Seewald and her husband, Ben, are expecting their first child Nov. 1.

Two or three programs are currently planned, the newspaper reported.

TLC reportedly explored a spinoff series focusing on the two sisters, who were among the most popular family members during the show's 15-season run.

But the spinoff was canceled as reports suggested Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar may have helped cover up their son's molestation of four of their daughters and another girl.

The sisters appeared with their mother last month in a TLC special focusing on sex abuse, and the family pitched a show that would involve them providing Christian counseling to sex abuse victims.

Josh Duggar resigned from his position with the anti-LGBT Family Research Council, and he later admitted to cheating on his wife after his Ashley Madison account was revealed.

He is allegedly undergoing treatment at a Christian rehabilitation center in Illinois.
