FEMA head gets shredded for calling Maria response 'most logistically challenging event' in US history

On Sunday, Brock Long -- chief administrator for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) -- excused the Trump administration's lead-footed response to Hurricane Maria by calling it "the most logistically challenging event in U.S. history."

However, reports from Puerto Rican officials and even from Army Lt. Gen. Jeff Buchanan -- the administration's highest appointed official on the ground -- have called the federal response haphazard and bureaucratically snarled.
