Gay Trump supporter goes berserk on woman who commented on his MAGA hat outside comedy club
A gay Trump supporter insists he did nothing wrong after a woman accused him of banging a knife on her car window during an altercation outside a Texas comedy club.
Carl Pacheco wore a "Make America Great Again" hat and a T-shirt covered front and back with images of President Donald Trump outside Kathy Griffin's show Monday night at Houston's Jones Hall when he got into an argument with a woman, reported OutSmart Magazine.
The woman shouted an expletive at Pacheco, who works as a realtor, about his pro-Trump attire -- and he responded by calling her a "c*nt."
Pacheco then approached the woman's vehicle, kicked the passenger-side front door and then banged a knife on the glass, according the woman.
Pacheco, who told the magazine he was a gay Latino immigrant, defended his actions.
“I am cooperating with the police investigation,” Pacheco said. “I don’t feel I’ve done anything wrong based on the laws and the circumstances of what happened.”
He suggested the investigation was tilted against him because the alleged victims were “white middle-aged people,” and he complained that he was being "demonized" as a "neo-Nazi."
Pacheco referred reporters to his attorney, Michael Mercer, who claimed the realtor wore pro-Trump clothing in hopes of engaging in debates with fans of Griffin, an outspoken critic of the president.
"He went to that concert expecting to be able to have political conversations with people who were there, which is something that everybody should be able to do," Mercer said. "Unfortunately that wasn’t able to happen.”
Mercer told the magazine he believed the victims “had too much to drink and got offended” by Pacheco's clothing, although the alleged victim, Michele Nunez, insisted she does not drink alcohol.
The incident remains under investigation by Houston police, who asked Nunez's husband to remove a video of the altercation from his YouTube channel -- which the man agreed to do.
