Trump sneers at millions of voters with bizarre take: 'Not beating the racist accusations'

President Donald Trump's appeal to voters at a rally in South Carolina puzzled many observers.

The 80-year-old president spoke in Rock Hill to help boost Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) in her surprisingly challenging re-election campaign for her late brother's Senate seat, but he addressed races in Michigan and Texas during his remarks.

"If you're Black or Jewish and if you vote for Abdul, you're crazy – you're crazy," Trump said, referring to Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed. "You're crazy anyway."

Many social media users questioned his comments.

"Calling people crazy is a great way to win them over. For sure," opined writer Joel Klebanoff. "Not to mention that he just called Black and Jewish people crazy no matter how they vote. Not beating the racist and antisemitic accusations, is he?"

"Does he know we can’t vote for Abdul in SC?" wondered popular Bluesky user BlondeJustice.

"El-Sayed and Obama are living rent free in his rapidly declining brain," argued Bluesky user Marty Kearns.

"This is like listening to your drunk, racist Grandfather ramble on at Thanksgiving dinner," observed widely followed X user Denison Barb.

"Definitely going to move the needle for Rogers. *checks notes* Yeah, this was in South Carolina," sneered writer Alana Church. "What a f---ing moron."

"Trump is racist & an antisemite," labeled photojournalist Steve Rhodes. "He uses antisemitic tropes because he is an antisemite."
