As the public reels from yet another mass shooting on American soil, dismay is turning to anger as social media commenters turn on the one constant factor in every shooting: the easy availability of weapons that can kill hundreds in minutes.
The focus of their ire? The National Rifle Association.
Late Sunday night, 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock, of Mesquite, Nevada, opened fire on an open-air country music concert in Las Vegas, killing over 50 concertgoers and an injuring estimated 400 more.
While President Donald Trump addressed the shooting with a "warmest condolences" tweet, the NRA has remained silent as of early Monday morning, and have not posted a tweet at @NRA since September 29.
Their silence has not gone unnoticed.
