Jimmy Kimmel burns Trump with Stormy Daniels joke that mocks president's ability to 'last' longer than 8 minutes

Jimmy Kimmel trashed President Donald Trump for delivering an Oval Office speech about a "completely made-up" emergency at the southern border.

The late night host tapes his ABC show on Pacific Time, so he was able to react to Trump's first speech from the Oval Office.

“Up until now, he’d been using it for Kardashian meet-and-greets," Kimmel said. "But tonight, he got very serious.”

He joked that he understood why all the major networks covered the "historic" speech live, a decision that drew widespread criticism because those same outlets declined to cover a speech on border security by former President Barack Obama.

"Rarely does a president of the United States interrupt primetime television to warn us about a completely made-up thing,” Kimmel said, noting the speech lasted about 10 minutes. "Which, according to Stormy Daniels, is about eight minutes longer than he usually lasts.”

Kimmel said the networks should have added a disclaimer before Trump spoke noting that the presidential address was a "work of fiction" that was "pulled directly from the president’s ass."

“He did not mention the caravan that was coming to get us three months ago," Kimmel said. "I don’t know what happened to that, but I guess it disappeared when the election was done.”

Kimmel said the president "desperately" wants Americans to worry about the southern border because he had made a ridiculous promise during the 2016 campaign.

“If you are Donald Trump — God forbid — and you make a dumb promise during your campaign like 200 different times to build a wall," Kimmel said, "and your plan to fulfill that promise you didn’t know you were going to have to fulfill is to get people panicked enough to waste $5 billion on it, going on TV and telling us there are ‘bad hombres’ sneaking over the border, that’s not going to do it.”

Kimmel said the president should instead have cranked up the paranoia by warning that "an army of chupacabras (is) crawling in through Tijuana. Tell everyone they have red eyes, they’ve got sharp claws and if we don’t stop them, they’re going to eat our children and our Instagram. That’s how you get people fired up!”
