MAGA cheers White House pick: She'll 'send the fake news media into an absolute tailspin'

President-elect Donald Trump continued to roll out his next administration's main players after announcing Friday that campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt will be his next White House press secretary.

Leavitt is no stranger to the media. The campaign veteran previously served as assistant press secretary during Trump’s last term and has earned a reputation as a fierce defender of the incoming president that conservatives appear to welcome to the new role.

“Yes! President Trump has chosen Karoline Leavitt as his Press Secretary – tough, smart and loyal,” longtime Trump ally Roger Stone told his followers on X.

MAGA internet personality Nick Sortor agreed. “This is a FANTASTIC pick! Karoline pulls no punches, and will send the fake news media into an absolute TAILSPIN in the briefing room,” he wrote on social media.

Trump also praised Leavitt in a statement announcing his selection.

“Karoline Leavitt did a phenomenal job as the National Press Secretary on my Historic Campaign, and I am pleased to announce she will serve as White House Press Secretary,” Trump said. “Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the podium, and help deliver our message to the American People as we Make America Great Again.”
