'Knock her teeth out': Inside the horror a MAGA congressman chose to make public

A child’s broken collarbone, hypodermic needles, threats to knock a person’s teeth out, the words “daddy kill you” — these all appear in newly released documents a Trump-endorsed congressman believes will convince the public to vote for him.

Rep. Max Miller’s (R-OH) bid to save a reelection campaign — marred by his ex-wife’s accusations of abuse against her and their daughter — saw him on Sunday make public his child’s medical records, redacted police reports, audio recordings of personal conversations (one in which he denies recording) and images of his 2-year-old daughter’s body.

“These documents were produced by my personal attorneys and paid for by me directly,” Miller wrote on X. He then added, “I invite everyone who is interested to take a look.”

Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, and her father Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) both have condemned Miller’s treatment of his family and his decision to publicize their personal life.

“No loving parent would have ever used their daughter as a PR pawn to save their own political career,” said Emily Moreno’s spokesperson Stefan Mychajliw on X.

Sen. Moreno added, “It has been horrific to watch this play out in full public view, all while knowing an innocent two-year-old girl is caught in the middle.”

President Donald Trump has, for the time being, continued to throw his support to his former senior adviser in the White House. Miller has been in Congress since 2023, and is fighting to keep his seat in November.

“So far it's accusations," Trump said on Air Force One Sunday. "I'll be looking at it."

“You Found Needles?” | Miller Replies To Allegations Of Drug Use

Miller tells his ex-wife in one of a dozen recorded conversations he shared with the public on Sunday that he does not record their conversations.

“I'm sure you do record all of our conversations,” says a voice transcribed as “Mrs.”

“No, I don't,” replies “Mr. “And by the way, I have never gone into your cell phone. And I've never gone into your computer. And I’ve never sneaked into your backpack.”

The conversations, shared in both audio recordings and transcripts, purport to reveal personal and sexual details about a marriage about to end. Miller said it was prepared and reviewed by his lawyers — and his wife had no say before he made them public.

Eleven of the transcripts appear to be from August 2024, in the days before Miller filed for divorce on Aug. 27, according to a timeline accompanying the documents.

Miller accuses Moreno of “weaponizing our child” when she asks him to contact a third party to schedule visits with the little girl.

In another, Miller tells Moreno her therapist is not a “medical doctor” and suggests a past bipolar disorder diagnosis threatens her credibility.

Much of the conversation is about drugs — which concludes with Miller admitting he had been injecting himself with steroids.

“I have gone into your backpack because I truly do believe you have a drug problem,” says “Mrs.” on Aug. 20. “First it was weed, and then I found needles next to your bed.”

Mr.: 14:32 You found needles?

Mrs.: 14:34 Yes, I did. And I took a picture of it. You can try to deny it to me.

Mr.: 14:38 (laughs) Okay.

Mrs.: 14:41 I don't know why that's funny. That's actually really f–-in' scary.

Miller denies the needles are his on his “Jewish word of honor” in one transcript and in another tells Moreno about a treatment he was using, but claims to have stopped.

Mr.: 02:47:07 Testosterone replacement therapy. You knew I was doing that, right? And, and I know this for a fact, so you've already acknowledged that you already know that that behavior was going on, and it, and it, you already know that it has ceased for over several months, so but I did not-

Mrs.: 02:47:21 What you told me was you did it several times, and that was it.

Mr.: 02:47:24 Correct.

Mrs.: 02:47:25 Right, so when I found a needle, I had no idea what the f–- it was. I also asked you several times if you were still doing it, and you said no because I looked it up, and it's not good for you. You don't want to be doing that stuff.

The last audio recording is of his daughter’s voice, purportedly taken in June of this year.

Miller shared with the public the sounds of his daughter claiming, “I don’t love Mommy.”

The girl also says she’s Tinker Bell.

“It Wasn't Done To Hurt You” | Miller Denies Abusing Moreno With Hot Water

Miller admits he threw hot water at his ex-wife in one of the audio recordings he shared.

“It was horseplay in our kitchen,” Miller said in a video statement accompanying the documents.

"I sprayed water at her from the sprayer attached to our kitchen sink tap water, which does not reach boiling temperature.”

Moreno, in court records, tells a different story.

A motion filed in May to the Court of Common Pleas, Cuyahoga County, in Ohio includes the following:

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, she told Miller she planned to leave him. She describes what followed as a two-part attack. First, Miller — who had just been cooking eggs — took the hot water from the pan and threw it at her. She fell to the floor in a fetal position, the affidavit states, after which Miller “took the sprayer from the sink and continued to spray me with hot water.” She took their daughter and fled to her parents’ home that day.

An audio recording and transcript reveal a later conversation Miller and Moreno had about the encounter.

MILLER:[31:52] It was never done to hurt you with intent. It never was done to hurt you, and you know that.

MORENO:[31:58] No, it is true, and if you knew it was because when you went into my—you went into the laundry room when I was crying.

MILLER:[32:02]—So—so—so, so—

MORENO:[32:04]—And you literally, you started crying saying I didn't mean to hurt you, why are you scared of me?

MILLER:[32:08] Yeah, I didn't mean to hurt you. It wasn't done with intent— You just said it yourself. It wasn't done to hurt you.

MORENO:[32:14]It's not playful, it's not playful when you dump hot water.

MILLER:[32:17]Going out of the faucet, it does not get to a temperature of boiling water. It does not.

MORENO:[32:21] Put it on when you get home, and see it can get hot.

MILLER:[32:24] I did it, and I tested it, and I had our attorneys test it, because I figured that this is what you're going to come at me with— it's like standing under a hot shower.

Stephanie Grisham, former chief of staff to Melania Trump, told the Washington Post in 2021 she had been physically abused by an ex-partner in Trump’s entourage — and later confirmed she meant Miller — who denies abusing her.

“I told the president that this “great guy” had anger issues and a violent streak,” she wrote. “There was no follow-up from either of them to see if I needed help or protection.”

‘You Hammer Me Over Scratches’| Miller Replies To Child Abuse Allegations

Miller’s determination to prove he has not abused his 2-year-old daughter, as his wife contends, saw him make public the little girl’s medical records, pictures of her body, personal messages with his wife, and a signed statement from the child’s caregiver.

Two key incidents emerge: a broken collarbone treated on Feb. 19 and a suspected bruise — which turned out to be paint — on July 19, as is revealed in a screenshot of texts between Moreno and Miller.

Those messages include images of his daughter’s drawings, stacked on a play table, and a picture of the little girl, her face covered by a black square, with her sleeve pulled down to reveal her neck and shoulder.

“Did she paint in her hair/neck?” Moreno writes. “I’m not accusing you of anything just want to figure out the mark.”

Moreno later reveals it was blue paint, but that she was anxious enough to take the girl to urgent care.

The message then shows the girl’s medical records that include her doctors’ names, patient notes, and the date and location of an upcoming appointment — which is not redacted.

Miller’s defense in the collarbone incident includes, but is not limited to, police reports, signed affidavits and a Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services report, dated April 4, which shows investigators did not find evidence of abuse.

Messages between Moreno and Miller on a co-parenting app reveal the Republican congressman’s initial response to news that his daughter’s bone had been fractured.

On Feb. 18, Moreno reported she’d found “a really large bruise,” and the girl was experiencing issues with her arm, telling Miller a doctor recommended an X-ray.

“Did you notice anything happen this weekend or yesterday?” Moreno asked.

Miller told her he did not notice anything in one message and asked for a photo, of which he said days later, “looks awful.”

Moreno told her ex-husband the girl needed an X-ray on Feb. 19 and told him on Feb. 20, “She has a fractured collar bone.”

This is his response:

Hey, I know you said you’re dealing with a lot and I get it. I am as well.

But you can’t go a full day without telling me she has a fractured collarbone. You would lose your mind if I did that.

I’m sorry it’s a lot and I’m sorry too, but that’s not cool.

I need to know days and times when you bring her to the doctor, yes, every time as you are entitled to the same.

She is in your care and it’s your responsibility to let me know.

Do you know how this happened? I’m not pointing fingers, I just want to know as you would as well. I’m the last person to find out.

Did it happen with Kasey? The bruise looks days old. I’m going to have a doctor take a look at the photo.

Kasey found out this morning and she isn’t her father.

Last time she got a black eye, I barely got any details.

You hammer me over scratches, this is not ok.

The child’s nanny was interviewed on Feb. 26, days after his daughter had been treated for the fracture, according to the records shared by Miller.

Details emerge of a little girl in pain.

The nanny talks at length about how much she likes her little “really smart” charge, who loves music, reading books and discussing what the pair’s next meal will be.

The nanny told investigators she found the little girl “laying on the floor and screaming/crying” on Feb.16, the records show.

The nanny tried to engage with the little girl, but “she didn't want to play or do anything but be held.”

The little girl was taken to the doctor the same day, diagnosed with strep throat and prescribed amoxicillin, the nanny testified.

The nanny recounts a family trying to balance joint custody of a sick child with a lot of friends to see.

On Feb. 20, the day after the girl was treated for a broken collarbone, the nanny describes playing with the girl’s “shape/face toys” they use to talk about her emotions.

“[Redacted] always says the red/angry one is daddy,” the report states. “She doesn't understand why because she ([Redacted]) has never seen [Redacted] angry.”

The nanny stated her opinion that the broken collarbone was likely caused by the girl’s rough-and-tumble nature.

The girl sometimes "’hit herself or hurt herself’ for attention,’” the nanny said in the police interview.

Her interview concludes with the statement that it is “an honor" to nanny a redacted name, presumably the little girl.

‘Daddy Kill You’ | Miller Denies He’s Unfit To Serve

Sen. Bernie Moreno on Sunday told the nation Miller should not serve in the House of Representatives.

“If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them,” said Sen. Moreno in a statement published at 11:22 a.m.

“I believe Max Miller needs to seek professional help to end the clear pattern of abuse he has left in his wake. I believe he should not be free to continue endangering others until he does.”

This message appeared less than an hour after Miller put his massive hoard of documents on social media.

Those documents — police records, medical records, court records, recordings of private conversations — reveal just how much one man will give to hold onto his public power.

Miller gave the public details of family fights — some impossible to decode because of multiple redactions — about accusations of substance abuse, alcohol abuse and physical abuse.

It includes the words, "she was going to knock her teeth out,” as a police report Raw Story confirmed independently reveals.

It includes private details of a two-year-old child’s life — images of her body, her medical records, her private words to the people tasked with taking care of her.

“At 1952 hours, [REDACTED] advised [REDACTED] that stated, ‘Daddy kill you,’ which [REDACTED] indicated was similar to a statement [REDACTED] made on Sunday (02.15.2026),” a Bay Village police report reads.

“When asked about the statement, [REDACTED] advised there was no way [REDACTED] was saying that, but agreed that he had heard [REDACTED] say it on Sunday.”

Miller on Sunday, in his video message, told the public the allegations of abuse made by his wife were entirely false.

He then confirmed his commitment to his public.

“Every one of these allegations traces back to a single source: my former wife,” Miller said in a lengthy livestream broadcast. “I'm not getting out of this race, and I'm winning in November.”
