Melania Trump flatly denied Rudy Giuliani's claims about her support for President Donald Trump in the Stormy Daniels affair.

The first lady brushed aside questions about her husband's alleged affair with the adult performer during an interview with ABC News, saying she rarely thought about allegations of a $130,000 payout to cover up the president's infidelity.

"I'm a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do," Trump said.

The president has admitted to reimbursing his former attorney Michael Cohen for the payment just ahead of the 2016 election but denies the affair, which Daniels says took place a decade earlier -- shortly after the birth of his son with Melania.

The president's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani said in June that the first lady "believes her husband, and she knows it's untrue," but Melania Trump pushed back.

"I never talked to Mr. Giuliani," she told ABC News, which asked why Giuliani made those claims. "I don't know. You need to ask him."
