Mike Huckabee has a brand new child molester problem -- the co-author of his books

It would be charitable to say that Mike Huckabee's latest run for the Republican presidential nomination has been a bit bumpy. A more accurate description would be "a flaming twelve-car pile-up at railroad crossing hit by a speeding train carrying nitroglycerine." Then hit by a meteorite. Twice.

It is bad enough that his presidential run was preceded by his career as a snake-oil salesman, selling a "reverse diabetes" cure to the rubes, but wait ... there's more.

Recently, while most of America was still enraptured by the coming out of Caitlyn Jenner as a woman, word got out that Huckabee made a gross joke to religious broadcasters earlier in the year. According to Huckabee, had he known then what he thinks he knows now about transgenderism, he would have pretended to be a transgendered woman in high school so that he could shower with and ogle teen girls after gym class.

That wasn't creepy at all.

Then his old Arkansas friends, the aggressively prolific baby-making Duggars, had to admit that they covered up the fact that their oldest son had confessed to multiple molestations of five pre-teen girls -- four of them his sisters, one of them 4-years-old at the time-- beginning when he was fourteen.

While the rest of the country recoiled in horror at Josh Duggar's admitted incestuous "inappropriate touching," Huckabee was loyal down to the latest news revelation, telling Megyn Kelly that Josh Duggar's admission didn't mean diddly-squat.

“Megyn, he is an unadjudicated minor at the time that this happened. You’re an attorney. You understand that a person is innocent until proven guilty,” Huckabee practically pleaded.

Even Kelly, who made it her mission over two interviews to protect the Duggars, wasn't having it.

“But he confessed,” she replied.

“He was never adjudicated, but he did not confess in a court of law. The law does not hold him accountable, even if he confesses,” Huckabee stated. End of discussion. Q.E.D. y'all.

Then he blamed the media and liberals because he is an old Fox News hand and old habits never die.

Which bring us to today.

According to Buzzfeed, Huckabee's writing partner for two of his books -- the ironically titled Do the Right Thing: Inside the Movement That’s Bringing Common Sense Back to America and Character Is the Issue -- has a bit of a groping of pre-teen girls problem of his own.

Meet John Perry:

"In a sworn affidavit submitted during divorce proceedings, Perry’s ex-wife attests that she “filed for divorce as a result of Mr. Perry’s inappropriate marital conduct, to which he admitted to in his Response to Interrogatories numbers 1 and 2.” Throughout the court documents, “inappropriate marital conduct” appears to be a euphemism for the alleged molestation. "

Oh, really? Tell me more...

“The alleged sexual battery was reported to have occurred when the victim was between the ages of 11 and 14,” said Nashville police department spokesperson Don Aaron in a statement to BuzzFeed News.

“As a result of the investigation, the allegations of sexual battery were sustained, but it was determined that the statute of limitations had tolled, barring prosecution. The victim was age 18 when she first disclosed the allegations to non-law enforcement and said at that time she did not want the matter reported to the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services or the police.”

As I noted previously, Huckabee is already carrying the baggage of having helped a man -- Wayne Eugene DuMond --who was convicted of raping a high school cheerleader obtain his release from prison -- only to rape and murder another woman after being paroled.

Huckabee even wrote a letter to Dumond when he was in prison for the first rape, telling him: "Dear Wayne – My desire is that you be released from prison.”

For those keeping score at home, the list of known associates of Mike Huckabee who have been investigated and found to have molested teen and pre-teen girls now includes John Perry, right after Wayne Eugene DuMond and Josh Duggar.

Maybe Mike Huckabee should spend less time worrying about women with their  "trashy"mouths, and more time telling his buddies to leave those young girls alone.

They're starting to make him look bad and will make future meetings with Girl Scouts in the Rose Garden during the Huckabee administration feel kind of weird and awkward.
