New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo rips 'misleading and dangerous' conspiracy theories about bombs sent to Dems

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on Thursday discussed his conversation with President Donald Trump about the bombs being sent to prominent figures and locations in the state — and took aim at those who peddle in conspiracy theories about them.

The governor noted that investigators are still determining whether the bombs sent to liberal investor George Soros, actor Robert DeNiro, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and to CNN in the state "were designed to detonate or to intimidate.”

He then turned his attention to the popular right-wing theory that the bombs sent to prominent Democrats were not real.

"I think it's misleading and dangerous to say these were fake bombs," Cuomo said. "These were dangerous instruments that were sent."

Later in the interview, the governor said he'd spoken to Trump earlier in the day about the investigations into the bombs and that the president "pledged full support from all federal authorities."
