NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers — fresh off a presidential pardon for their roles in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol — plan to hold a news conference Friday outside that very building.
“We’re gonna be making an announcement,” Proud Boy leader Enrique Tarrio told Raw Story at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, known as CPAC. “We got a press conference we're gonna hold tomorrow in front of the Capitol.”
“One of the main reasons we came, it's just like the f— you aspect of it,” Tarrio said.
Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes is also expected to attend, according to Tarrio.

Recently released Proud Boys members Joe Biggs, Dominic Pazzola, Ethan Nordean and Zachary Rehl — “the seditious five,” Tarrio said — are slated to attend as well.
“Do you guys still exist?” Raw Story asked.
“Yeah. We still exist,” Tarrio told Raw Story. “We still have our chapters.”
While their presser is slated for the Capitol grounds, they say no members of Congress are expected to join.
“I think it will be pretty cool,” Tarrio said of the presser they’ve planned on the Capitol’s East Front. “We’re going back — I mean, some of the left-wing media says, ‘the scene of the crime.’ It sounds cool. I’ll take it.”
