Rudy Giuliani and his estranged wife barred from being in same room together at country clubs

Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has often defended the president against accusations that he made pay offs to former mistresses ahead of the election.

Recently, Giuliani has had marital complications of his own. The Daily Beast reports that Giuliani and his estranged wife, Judith Nathan, are no longer allowed to be in the same room at country clubs.

“There was an issue at one of the clubs last week,” Giuliani’s lawyer told Judge Michael Katz. “We’re going to ask that Ms. Giuliani just keep her distance from Mr. Giuliani when they’re at clubs together and their children, as well, and not take photographs, because that’s what was happening last weekend, I’m advised, at one of the clubs,” his lawyer said. “He just wants to be left alone.”

Judge Katz, for his part, said he was tired of Giuliani's romantic tribulations.

“I am tired of hearing about Mr. Giuliani’s personal life,” Katz said. “Whoever is in the room first is allowed to stay in the room.”

The altercation appears to have a financial basis. Nathan was reportedly upset that Giuliani was shortchanging her in the divorce, while lavishing gifts on the family of his new girlfriend.

Nathan had asked for $63,000 in monthly spousal support and for Giuliani to pay housing expenses for six homes and incidental costs -- like membership dues at country clubs, according to the Daily Beast.

Her lawyers claimed the Giuliani feigned a lower income to get out of the costs.

"Mr. Giuliani has taken it upon himself to radically change the financial status quo that existed prior to this action,” Nathan's lawyer said, calling it "conduct that can only be characterized as SIDS...sudden income deficit syndrome.”
